Project management either in a specific sector (ie: roads or health and nutrition) or with a broader scope (ie: capacity- building) implies simultaneous activities such as implementation, hiring, procurement of goods and services, financial transactions, etc. These activities generate a lot of information and documentation that requires specific monitoring.
Agencies, local institutions and beneficiaries are entitled to know about project progress towards objectives and should receive relevant information when required. In order to do so, the necessary data should be identified, collected and processed from the different sources and stakeholders. This process calls upon the implementation of specific software to provide all the relevant reports and documentation.
Practical Objectives » Develop a comprehensive approach of the monitoring and evaluation process within a results-based management context. » Understand the information requested by international agencies and governments. » Define project status reports.
Seminar topics » Project cycle » Evaluation and monitoring process inputs » Information system inputs » Project monitoring system definition » Project monitoring » Project evaluation
