A project consists of a combination of resources and management skills in order to deliver products, services or equipment to meet specific needs. The project monitoring system will allow the verification of whether the objectives identified in the project design were or will be effectively achieved.
Participants evaluate a priori and/or a posteriori socio-economic impacts (or where applicable environmental impacts) of their projects or programmes. They also formulate indicators to properly monitor the project progress towards a successful completion.
The training is oriented towards the identification of performance indicators and the monitoring and evaluation of the project’s results within a “results-based management” context.
Practical Objectives » Understand and apply results-based management principles, tools and techniques. » Develop a logical framework to analyse a priori and/or a posteriori project impacts and effects. » Increase the participants’ capabilities to identify and formulate indicators. » Improve the trainees’ ability to collect and analyze appropriate data.
Seminar topics » Relationship between logical framework and indicators » Results-based management and development of project indicators » Measurement of performance and data collection » Indicators and monitoring
