Abidjan, Republic of C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire<\/em> \u2014 The 12th edition of the Africa CEO Forum, held on 13 and 14 May 2025, brought together over 2,000 business leaders, investors, ministers, policymakers and heads of state from across Africa and around the world to discuss the continent\u2019s economic future.<\/p>\n

SETYM International was represented by its President and CEO, Mr Larbi Bennouna, who participated in several high-level meetings at this flagship event for Africa\u2019s private sector.<\/p>\n

A summit focused on public-private partnership<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The central theme of this edition, \u201cCan a new public-private deal reshape the future of the continent?\u201d, highlighted the profound economic transformations underway and the urgent need to build strong alliances between institutional and economic actors to ensure sustainable and inclusive growth.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n

Over the course of two days, conferences, <\/span>panels<\/span> and discussions addressed <\/span>major issues<\/span> such as :\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  • economic sovereignty,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • the rise of local value chains,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • infrastructure development,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • modernisation of public administrations,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • and the growing role of the private sector in transforming African economies.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

    Canadian and Quebec partners mobilised<\/h2>\n

    Mr Bennouna\u2019s participation in the event was highlighted by several meetings organised by the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service, a global network present in over 160 cities. Its mission is to support Canadian businesses in their international expansion by providing targeted support, concrete opportunities and tailored funding programmes.<\/p>\n

    On behalf of SETYM International, Mr Bennouna warmly thanked the entire team for their professionalism, field presence and unwavering support.<\/p>\n

    SETYM also wishes to highlight the outstanding work of Investissement Qu\u00e9bec International (IQI)<\/em>, whose active presence in Abidjan reflects a genuine commitment to economic collaboration between Qu\u00e9bec and the African continent. The discussions held helped strengthen strategic ties around a shared vision of sustainable development and global outreach.<\/p>\n

    This mission was also made possible with the valuable support of the Qu\u00e9bec Office in Abidjan, which plays a central role in consolidating institutional and economic relations between Qu\u00e9bec and African countries.<\/p>\n
