Training of trainers and development of training materials in the field of public procurement
Description of actual services provided
Order to ensure that Cameroon’s public administration has well-trained public procurement professionals whose work will make a significant contribution to the smooth functioning of the public procurement system, the Public Procurement Regulatory Agency (ARMP) has been entrusted with the responsibility of contributing to the training of public procurement stakeholders, the development of the professional framework, and the evaluation of the performance of stakeholders in the system of awarding, executing, and monitoring public contracts. As the main sponsor, the PAGFIP project, funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB), provided strategic and institutional support to the ARMP throughout the project, ensuring adherence to good governance, compliance with transparency principles, and the performance of funded operations.

- Build the capacity of thirty (30) trainers on public procurement standards and best practices;
- Establish a standardized training methodology to ensure effective knowledge transfer;
- Develop training materials tailored to the needs of the beneficiaries;
- Contribute to improving the transparency and efficiency of public procurement.
Participants’ Feedback on the services provided
- I have learned that teaching adults is different from teaching children. Andragogy, as the science and art of teaching adults, facilitates better learning transfer through its approaches, methods, learning models, and even its principles. As for tools, the training design document is a strategic planning tool that helps better define and design training. This tool can be useful in any organisation.
- Jean-Claude PIERI is truly an experienced professional trainer. A true model of social development. He inspires me, and from now on I will strive to emulate his approach in my classes.
- Andragogy and the experiential approach. Evaluation based on the Kirkpatrick model. Specifically, we will review or restructure the content of the training courses provided by ARMP. Additionally, we will substantially improve the training courses offered as part of the certification program for stakeholders on the use of the Pridesoft and COLEPS platforms.
