Doing Business: Reform, Governance and Competitiveness of the Private Sector
Governments and their administrations implement programmes to reform the business environment to be able to reduce the juridical, institutional and regulatory hurdles and at the same time to allow foreign businesses and local SMEs / SMIs to do business, promote private investment and sustain economic growth. This training programme provides practical and applicable general guidance in the design and the implementation of reforms.

Reform support levels. Functional areas and the reform programme cycle.
Reform Implementation Strategy
Prerequisites. Concept development. Engagement of stakeholders (public–public and public–private dialogue). Proposal of juridical, institutional, procedural and technological solutions. Practical implementation plan.
Reports and International Rankings
Doing Business, Global Competitiveness Index. Indicators used in the analysis of the economic outcomes and in the identification of the successful business regulation reform. The economies where these were adopted and the reason for their implementation.
Reform Implementation
Workshop on the reform implementation in an area measured by the Doing Business report indicators of the World Bank.
